    Truck Driver

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Classification: Regular Full Time

    The Truck Driver will primarily drive the Company truck and be responsible for delivering concession equipment and supplies to our retail and wholesale customers.  Employee will be responsible for maintaining the semi-truck and trailer to ensure a safe, clean work environment for self and other drivers. Loads and unloads trucks efficiently, and completes all paperwork required with loads.  Employee will be responsible for completing DOT required paperwork and completes all paperwork required with each load.

    Assist in pulling customer orders accurately, efficiently and with due concern for product quality and condition.  Performs various inventory audits as directed. Assists in the training current/new truck drivers.   Responsible for following GMPs. While maintaining a positive customer service attitude in demanding situations.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Warehouse Operations / Inventory - Prepare orders and process requests by pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders.  Perform warehouse inventory responsibilities.   Operates material handling equipment safely and efficiently to minimize risk to personnel and damage to inventory and equipment.  Oversees product flow as it moves through the warehouse and keeps quality standards high for audits.
    2. Quality Assurance – Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.  Looks for ways to improve and promote quality. Inspects quality of products and accurately matches work orders.  Perform quality check requirements by following organization standards and completes related paperwork.  Maintain cleanliness of assigned area and trucks.  Identifies damages or missing products and notifies supervisor immediately.
    3. Safety Compliance & Participation - Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area.  Complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.  Maintain professional and technical knowledge as required in the position described above.   Ensure safety rules and standard operating procedures are followed at all times.  Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas when needed.

    General Requirements: Describes the minimum education and experience, certifications, licenses, and skill sets needed to perform the job.

    High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.  Must pass DOT pre-screening test.  Requires 1 year FMCSA commercial driving experience.  Must be able to read and understand weekly schedules and instructions.  Demonstrates ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.  Must have good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.  Basic mathematic and measurement skills are required.  Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Make all deliveries and appointments on a timely manner.  Have a current Class A CDL license.   Knowledge and understanding of navigating local maps.  Manages and supervises additional employees (driver helpers) that are assigned to the route.  Maintains a positive customer service attitude in demanding situations.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Describes the mental and physical demands and working conditions needed to perform the job.
    Ability to concentrate for an extended period of time and to accurately handle extensive detail. Ability to effectively and professionally handle the stressful demands of a truck driver environment. General physical tasks could be described as periodic standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and reaching above shoulder level. Lift up to 80 lbs. Operates pallet jacks. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to noise, dust particles and/or fumes. Satisfactory ability to schedule own time effectively to accomplish multiple tasks. Effective communication and ability to present information in a clear and understandable manner in both written and verbal form. Ability to accept constructive criticism. Must have ability to prioritize responsibilities and adapt to changes when necessary. Ability to comply with all company policies, safety, practices and standards of performance. Ability to understand reporting of Electronic Logs.
